// 1. Provider & scope

Provider: Michael Ochsner (see imprint). These terms apply to the AlpenRiderChain app and alpenriderchain.ch.

// 2. RideCoins (RC)

• RC are plain in-app points: not a currency, not a deposit, not an investment.
• You earn RC by riding passes and spend them on app features or as a tip to other riders.
• RC cannot be paid out or exchanged outside the app — there is no claim to any refund in money.

// 3. Your proof key

For the public proof (Tier 1) you own a key of your own; it lives on your device, not with us. That is the only way a published proof is truly yours and not ours. If you lose the device, your account, rides and badges inside the app remain — all you lose is the ability to keep signing under the same public proof. Proofs already published stay valid and visible; not even we can withdraw them.

// 4. Safety while riding

• Road traffic rules ALWAYS take precedence over app rewards.
• Speed limits are binding. The app neither collects nor stores speed values.
• Tracking should not be manipulated while moving.
• Phantom-lock defense discards pass detections when GPS is stationary (e.g. parking garage). Anti-cheat, not a bug.

// 5. Prohibitions

• GPS spoofing, mock locations and multi-accounting to maximise rewards are prohibited — account will be banned.
• Reverse engineering of pass validation is not permitted.

// 6. Liability

Use is at your own risk. We are not liable for damages caused by riding errors, GPS inaccuracies, server outages or public-ledger transactions. To the extent permitted by law, liability is limited to intent and gross negligence.

// 7. Changes

We may adjust these terms at any time. Changes will be published on the website and in the app.

// 8. Applicable law

Swiss law applies. Place of jurisdiction is the provider domicile, to the extent permitted by law.
